Anyway, in the new 17.2 Release Candidate Siri is still broken.

Last release they added the new tap-the-siri-button-once-then-hold-down-to-dictate thing that uses the Search app, which has it’s pros and cons (clunky initial interaction but way better to be in the navigable search app than an ephemeral overlay).

However, holding down the Siri button the old way, and asking for a movie, will take you to a black screen with an off-center spinner.

Now that 17.2 is officially released, I can confirm this Siri bug is still there on the Apple TV in my office, which was on the beta, but isn't there on the Apple TV in my Living Room. The only substantive difference between the two is the one in my office is the 4th gen Apple TV (the Apple TV HD) and the one in the living room is the Apple TV 4K 2nd gen. That's just a guess.

@joesteel just tried it on my 4K 3rd gen on 17.2, and instead of what I expected, for it to open the info view on the movie, it instead immediately opened Prime Video and started playing Scrooged
